I can’t remember my password.

See a member of KEGS IT to get your password changed. Once it has been changed, you will be able to log on and change it to something memorable.

How do I log on?

Using a school notebook or desktop PC, press ctrl+alt+del, type in your username and password and ensure you are ‘logging on’ to KEGS. Click OK.

How do I change my password?

You will be prompted to change your password every 60 days. If you wish to change your password at other times, login with your current password. When you are logged in press crtl+alt+del and click ‘change password’.  Follow the prompts to change your password.

How do I log on using remote access?

Click here for remote access and log on using your normal network username and password. Remote access has been successfully tested in Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.

How do I save files to my home directory?

When using a desktop PC, your home directory is shown as U drive (U:\). You can also access your home directory via My Documents. When using a notebook PC, only the U drive is available.  Do not save to My Documents as this will not be stored on KEGS servers.

Where can I get access to the KEGS wireless network?

Access to the KEGS wireless network is available only using KEGS computer equipment. The use of personal computer equipment on the wireless network is prohibited. The KEGS wireless network is available in approximately 98% of the school buildings. All KEGS notebook PCs and PDAs are pre-configured for use on the School’s wireless network.

I am a member of staff and have an IT request/problem. What do I do?

Whilst in school, click here to visit the helpdesk. You can log in and raise the query then one of the IT members of staff will be in contact with you regarding your query.
